Focused Health Solutions (FHS)
provides disease management and wellness services
to Fortune 500 clients, who in turn include these
health management services as part of their employee
health benefit package. Covered employees can establish
health management plans through FHS that range from
healthy to at-risk to chronic disease. FHS provides
the majority of these client services via a call
center staffed by clinical and administrative personnel.
Having experienced rapid expansion over the last
5 years, FHS had outgrown their legacy call center
system that supported the Disease Management portion
of their business.

The
American Heart Association Improves Business Operations
Through Actionable Insight
One of the primary goals of the
American Heart Association (AHA)
is to ensure that
hospitals are providing the highest level of cardiac
care possible by ensuring that they follow the latest
guidelines for treating cardiac patients. Through
a program called “Get With The Guidelines” (GWTG),
the AHA collects patient information from over 1,200
participating hospitals, measures actual treatment
against guidelines, and provides reporting back to
hospitals.

Although the impending loss of
support for PeopleSoft HCM 8.3 was a major factor
in American Heart Association's decision to upgrade
to version 9.0, they also realized that an upgrade
would offer an ideal opportunity to eliminate many
of their software customizations that were not maintainable
over the long term, as well as take advantage of
